This Cookie Policy explains how Thejands uses cookies and similar browser-side storage technologies on thejands.in. There are also related browser-side storage technologies, including localStorage and sessionStorage, which work similarly but are stored
differently within your browser and cannot be read by other sites. We use localStorage in one limited context, described below.
Cookies and local storage can be set by the domain you are visiting ("first-party") or by third-party services embedded in the page. We only set first-party storage, and only for a single functional purpose.
2. How Thejands Uses Browser Storage
We keep our use of browser storage to an absolute minimum. Here is what we store and why:
Cookie Consent Preference
When you interact with our cookie consent notice, your preference
(accepted or declined) is saved using the browser's localStorage API under the key cookie-consent. This ensures you are not
shown the consent notice on every page visit.
This is a localStorage entry, not a cookie. It is stored locally in your browser, is never transmitted to our servers, and cannot be read by any third party. It contains no personally identifiable information — only a preference flag and a timestamp.
Browser Session State
Your browser itself may create session-level storage entries as part of normal HTTP operation (for example, to maintain a connection). These are managed entirely by your browser and are cleared when you close the browser tab or session. Thejands does not control or access this data.
3. Vercel Analytics — No Cookies Set
This website uses Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Vercel Analytics is fundamentally different from tools like Google Analytics:
- No cookies are set. Vercel Analytics does not place any cookie — first-party or third-party — in your browser.
- Edge-based processing only. Analytics data is derived from anonymised network request information processed at Vercel's edge infrastructure — it never reaches a client-side script running in your browser.
- No cross-site tracking. There is no tracking pixel, beacon, or identifier that follows you across sites.
- No personal data retained. We receive only aggregated, anonymised metrics such as page views per day and approximate visitor geography at country level. No individual visitor is identifiable.
- No fingerprinting. Vercel does not use browser fingerprinting techniques to identify or re-identify visitors.
Because Vercel Analytics sets no cookies and processes no personal data, it does not require your consent under GDPR, UK GDPR, or ePrivacy rules. We include this information here for full transparency.
4. No Third-Party Advertising or Tracking Cookies
Thejands does not use — and has never used — any of the following on this website:
- Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager tracking cookies
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel or any social network tracking pixel
- LinkedIn Insight Tag or advertising retargeting
- HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, or any CRM tracking cookie
- Any advertising network, demand-side platform, or programmatic advertising cookie
- Any cross-site identity resolution or data broker integration
We are an enterprise B2B firm that earns clients through reputation and relationships, not through retargeted advertising. Our commitment to privacy is practical as well as principled.

Clearing localStorage

steps vary by browser — look for "Site data", "Storage", or "Clear browsing

Browser Cookie Settings
All modern browsers allow you to view, block, and delete cookies through their privacy and security settings. Since we set no cookies, adjusting these settings will have no material effect on your experience of this website. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using any feature on thejands.in.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We do not track users regardless of this signal, so enabling DNT will not change your experience on this site. We respect the spirit of DNT as a matter of principle, not just compliance.
Vercel Analytics Opt-Out
Because Vercel Analytics processes anonymised network-level data with no cookies and no personal identifiers, there is no individual opt-out mechanism. The data is not attributable to you as an individual. If you use a VPN, your approximate geography will reflect the VPN exit node rather than your actual location — Vercel Analytics cannot distinguish this and we do not attempt to.
7. Future Changes
If we ever introduce new cookies or storage technologies — for example, to support a client portal, authentication system, or new analytics tool — we will update this policy before doing so, refresh the "Last updated" date, and ensure appropriate consent mechanisms are in place. We are committed to transparency about any such changes.
